DENTURE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take to make a new set of dentures?
The process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks. This includes several short appointments for precise impressions, "try-ins" to ensure you are happy with the look and bite, and the final fitting.
Do you accept NSW Government Oral Health Vouchers?
Yes, we do! We accept NSW Oral Health Fee for Service (OHFFS) vouchers. If you have been issued a voucher by a public dental clinic (such as at Port Macquarie Base hospital), you can bring it to us for your treatment.
Do you offer same-day repairs?
Yes! We understand that a broken denture is an emergency. We offer same-day repairs for most cracks or tooth replacements—if you can get your denture to us in the morning, we aim to have it ready for you by the afternoon.
Which areas do you serve?
We welcome patients from Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Laurieton, Lake Cathie, Bonny Hills, Kempsey, and Thrumster. We also work closely with local dentists across these suburbs to coordinate your extractions and ensure a seamless treatment plan.
Can you add a tooth to my existing denture?
In many cases, yes. If you lose a natural tooth, we can often "add" a matching tooth to your current partial denture. This is a fast, cost-effective way to restore your smile without needing an entirely new set.
Can I get dentures immediately after having teeth pulled?
Yes, these are called Immediate Dentures. We create the denture before your extraction appointment so that your dentist can insert them the moment your teeth are removed. You’ll never have to spend a day without your smile.
What is a "Temporary Reline" for new dentures?
If you've recently had teeth extracted, your gums will shrink as they heal. We provide a temporary reline (or tissue conditioner) to keep your immediate dentures snug during this transition until your mouth is ready for a permanent fit.
What materials do you use?
We use high-quality Kulzer acrylics and teeth. Originating from Germany, Kulzer is a world-leader in dental materials. We use them because they offer superior durability, a natural aesthetic, and are highly resistant to staining.
Why should I take my dentures out at night?
It is vital to give your gums a "rest" to maintain healthy blood flow and prevent irritation. Soaking them in water overnight also prevents the material from warping or becoming brittle.
